What it does
Smaller image files that look the same and load faster. Point it at one file or a folder and get compressed WebP or PNG copies. It picks the best tool found on your computer, trying sips, then cwebp, then ImageMagick and then Sharp. You can set the output format, quality and whether to keep the original. A small preferences file can store your defaults at project, user or home level, and the first one found wins. It runs through a script using Bun or npx, so you need one of those installed. It works on a single image or a whole folder in one go.
You give it
- An image file or folder
- Output format and quality (optional)
- Bun or Node installed on your computer
You get
- Compressed WebP or PNG files
- Original files kept if you choose
- Size savings per image
Use it when
- Your web page is slow because the photos are heavy.
- You have a folder of screenshots to shrink before sharing.
- You want to convert PNG or JPEG files to WebP.
- You need the same quality settings every time.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can run code and save files.
