What it does
A notice telling staff which records they must keep when a dispute is likely, written as a first draft for a lawyer to review. Tell it about the matter. It captures the scope, the people who hold records, the date range and the systems involved, then drafts the notice in your house style. It can also write a refreshed notice when scope changes, flag people who have left, and draft the release notice when the hold ends. It checks your matter log first, so a conflicts check has been done before anything goes out. You confirm the draft and log change before anything is saved. It is not legal advice.
You give it
- The dispute and key facts
- People and teams who hold records
- Date range and systems
- Your hold template and matter log
You get
- A draft hold notice
- Updated notices when scope changes
- A release notice
- A log entry for the matter
Use it when
- A customer threatened a lawsuit and you must stop records being deleted.
- The scope of a case grew and staff need an updated notice.
- An employee on the hold list has left the company.
- The matter settled and you need to release the hold.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can read your saved legal setup notes and make Word files.
- Where the skill points to /litigation-legal:cold-start-interview, use the setup-interview folder inside it. We copied it in so the skill works on its own.
