What it does
A short, structured look at what could go wrong with a risky feature, written so a lawyer or leader can act on it. It is a first check, not legal advice. Use it for the few launches that need more than a table row, such as an AI feature, a product for children, or biometric or health data. The skill states what is being assessed, then lists two to five specific risks. Each one has a concrete scenario, who gets hurt, how likely and how bad it is with a reason for each, and a fix that lowers it. It ends with a recommendation and open questions for counsel. It avoids long paperwork for low-risk launches.
You give it
- A description of the feature
- What data it uses
- Who the users are and where they live
- Any earlier review notes (optional)
You get
- A list of specific risk scenarios
- Likelihood and severity for each, with reasons
- Suggested fixes
- Open questions for a lawyer
Use it when
- Your team plans an AI feature that uses customer data.
- Leadership asks what the risk is and wants more than one line.
- A launch touches children, health or biometric data.
- A review turned up a problem nobody has seen before.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can read your saved product legal setup notes.
- Where the skill points to /product-legal:cold-start-interview, use the setup-interview folder inside it. We copied it in so the skill works on its own.
