What it does
A list of what a new AI law or guidance means for your company, set against what you already do. Instead of reading a hundred pages, you see the gaps and a plan to close them. The skill first asks whether the rule applies to you at all, based on place, size, your role as builder or user, and sector. If it does, it pulls out the actual requirements and compares each one with your recorded AI uses, vendor positions, impact checks and published commitments. Gaps are sorted into must do, should do, already met and accepted risks. It says so where the law is unclear. This is not legal advice.
You give it
- The regulation or guidance to check
- A record of your AI uses and policies
- Your location and sector (optional)
- Vendor details (optional)
- Your question (optional)
You get
- A yes or no on whether the rule applies
- The requirements pulled out
- Gaps ranked by urgency
- A dated remediation plan for your file
Use it when
- A new AI law is announced and you need to know if it affects you.
- Your legal team needs a gap list before a compliance deadline.
- You want to see which AI tools you use fall under a rule.
- You must brief leadership on what to change first.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can search the web for the rule text.
- Where the skill points to /ai-governance-legal:cold-start-interview, use the setup-interview folder inside it. We copied it in so the skill works on its own.
