Live code debugger
Point it at a bug. Get the program run with breakpoints, so you see exact values and where it goes wrong.
Live code debugger is a free AI skill for the job "Test and fix code". Give the instructions to an AI assistant that supports the required files and tools, then review its output.

What it does
Instead of guessing from error text, run the program and stop it where the bug lives. You see the exact values at that moment and trace back to the cause. It starts a debug session with breakpoints where you expect trouble: where data crosses a boundary, where a value changes, or at the branch that took the wrong path. It can use a condition so it stops only when needed. With no clue, it can stop at an exception or walk from the start. It can also attach to a running process. At each stop it reads variables, tests expressions and moves up the call stack, then names the root cause.
You give it
- The program or script
- How to trigger the bug
- What you expected versus what happens
- A guess at where it goes wrong (optional)
You get
- A debug session with chosen breakpoints
- Live variable values at each stop
- The root cause
- A fix suggestion
Use it when
- A function returns the wrong value and you cannot see why.
- A crash happens deep inside, far from where you looked.
- A server is stuck and you cannot restart it.
- You want facts, not another round of guessing.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can run code and a debugger.
