What it does
A MATLAB live script, as plain text you can open and run, with explanations, equations and figures built in. Describe the analysis or lesson and get a runnable notebook. It writes in the live script text format. Text lines hold the explanation, section breaks split the work, and LaTeX gives clean equations. Figures sit inline, and tiled layouts compare results side by side. A required appendix at the end keeps the file valid. If MATLAB is attached, it runs the code, saves outputs for each section and exports an HTML copy to check how it looks. It can also convert from the older binary format.
You give it
- The topic or analysis
- Data or code you already have (optional)
- Equations to show (optional)
- MATLAB, if you want it run (optional)
You get
- A live script file
- Sections with text and equations
- Inline figures
- An HTML export (optional)
- A run-checked version (optional)
Use it when
- You want a tutorial in MATLAB that students can run.
- You are turning an analysis into a report with equations.
- You have an old binary live script to convert.
- You need a notebook for a colleague to review.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can run MATLAB R2025a or later.
