What it does
Describe the data you want in plain words and get a working SQL query for your database, with a short note on how it runs. It saves you from remembering each system's quirks. The skill pulls out the columns, filters, totals, joins, order and limits from your description. If it does not know your database, it asks: Postgres, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, MySQL, SQL Server, DuckDB, SQLite or another. If a warehouse is connected, it looks up tables, columns and partitions first. It then writes the query in your dialect and explains the logic and any speed concerns.
You give it
- A description of the data you need
- Your database type
- Table names or access to the warehouse (optional)
You get
- A SQL query in your dialect
- A note on how it works
- Speed tips such as partition use
- Assumptions listed
Use it when
- You know what you want but not the SQL for it.
- You switched from one database to another.
- You need a top-ten or time-range report query.
- You want a query that does not scan the whole table.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can connect to your database.
