What it does
A set of reliability goals for your service that people can measure, with an error budget and alerts that warn you before users feel it. Instead of vague promises like "keep it up", you get numbers. The method has three layers. Indicators measure what users feel, such as the share of successful requests or how fast pages load. Objectives set the target for each, such as 99.9 percent over thirty days. Error budgets turn the gap into minutes of allowed failure. The skill then writes alert rules based on how fast the budget burns, and a way to report it. It includes example queries for common monitoring tools.
