What it does
Many store owners pay an SEO or AI search agency for months before they see one extra order. The pitch is hard to judge. Reports full of rankings, long audits full of warnings and "AI mention" charts all look like work. None of them is revenue. This skill reads the proposal against a checklist taken from two practitioners who sell SEO themselves. It looks at what share of the work goes to money pages (collections and products), how the agency builds links, whether it scales content, and whether it can show organic revenue. Each point is marked red, yellow or green. You get the questions to send, a verdict, and a small paid test with a stop rule if you decide to try them.
You give it
- The proposal, pricing page or your notes from the sales call
- The monthly price and the contract length
- Their customer stories and logos (optional)
- Your organic search revenue for the last 6 to 12 months (optional)
- Your results (optional)
You get
- Red, yellow or green for each point, with the line that earned it
- Questions to send before you sign, with what a good answer looks like
- A keep, renegotiate or walk verdict and a score out of 100
- A small paid test with a control and a stop rule
Use it when
- An agency or freelancer has sent you a proposal and you are about to sign.
- You already pay for SEO or "GEO" (AI search) and cannot tell if it works.
- A salesperson promises AI visibility, links or hundreds of pages.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Paste the proposal or your call notes, then the price and contract length.
- Add your organic revenue for the last 6 to 12 months if you have it. Without it the skill cannot set a baseline.
- Send the questions it lists to the agency and paste their answers back. Ask for the score again.
- Sign only on month-to-month terms, with accounts in your name and one agreed number.
