What it does
Search can be a store's best sales channel or a waste of months. It fails for a brand-new product nobody searches, for a very low order value, for razor-thin margins and for a store that needs orders this quarter. Many owners find out after paying an agency for blog posts. This skill checks the case before you spend. It looks at demand, works out how many organic orders you would need to cover the cost, looks at who ranks for your best term, and tests whether your terms are winnable. It checks you have the cash and the hours. Then it makes a call and shows its score and its maths. If the answer is not now, it names what to do instead.
You give it
- Your average order value and gross margin
- Three to five search terms a buyer would use to find your products
- Months of cash you can run without organic orders
- Hours per month someone can spend on search
- Your ad spend, any SEO spend and store conversion rate (optional)
- Brand brain (optional)
- Your results (optional)
You get
- A call of go, go small or not now, with reasons
- A score out of 100 for the strength of the case, with the weights shown
- The first money pages to build, the one number to track and what would break the case
Use it when
- You are about to hire an agency or start a search project and want to know if it can pay back.
- You have thin margins or a low order value and wonder if search is worth the work.
- You sell something new and are not sure anyone searches for it.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Paste your order value, margin, cash, hours and search terms.
- Add your store conversion rate and per-order costs so it can work out the break-even.
- Search your best term yourself and tell it who ranks on page one.
- Follow the call. If it says not now, use the other channel it names and rerun later.
