What it does

When search traffic falls, the usual reaction is to rewrite everything. That can make it worse, especially right after a Google update. The faster path is to find which pages lost the clicks and ask what they have in common: the same topic, the same page type, thin content, or two pages competing for the same search. This skill sorts your pages by clicks lost and looks for the shared cause. If rankings held but clicks fell, it compares click rate with position to tell a stale title from an answer placed above you, such as an AI overview. It reads Google's generative AI report where you have it, orders the fixes, and checks store basics like tracking, stock and ads before it blames search. It adds Search Console steps and store checks to the general traffic drop investigator.

  2. In Search Console, compare the drop window with the period before, sort the pages by click difference (smallest first), and paste the top rows.
  3. Paste the same view for searches, or for the biggest losers.
  4. Add your site change dates and any known Google updates.
  5. Fix in the order the skill gives, one group at a time.
