What it does
A shift plan that puts the right number of people on the floor at the right hours, without breaking your time-off and overtime rules. That means fewer short-staffed peaks and less money spent on idle labour. It starts by asking about demand (order volume, peak days, tasks, skills needed) and supply (headcount, part-timers, availability, shift lengths). Then it lists your limits: opening hours, minimum staffing, maximum days in a row, break rules and overtime costs. It matches labour to demand hour by hour, checks every rule, and shows the cost and coverage of the plan so you can compare options before you publish it.
You give it
- Demand by day and hour, or a rough pattern
- Headcount by role and contract type
- Availability and time-off rules
- Opening hours and minimum staffing
- Overtime and labour costs (optional)
You get
- A shift plan by day and role
- A coverage check against demand
- Rule-compliance notes
- A cost comparison of schedule options
Use it when
- Your warehouse or shop has busy and quiet hours and the rota no longer fits them.
- You are paying too much overtime and want to see where the gaps really are.
- You need a plan for peak season that still respects days off and break rules.
- You are switching from 8-hour to 10-hour shifts and want to test the effect first.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can run code (Python).
