What it does
A weekly schedule, a shift pattern and a fair rotation for the shifts nobody likes, ready to hand to your team. Fair rotation cuts complaints and swap requests. Start with your demand and your staff. It works out how many people you need per hour from forecast volume and shift length, then picks a pattern such as fixed, rotating or 4-on-3-off. Nights, weekends and holidays are shared out by a clear rule, not by who shouts loudest. It also checks rest periods and predictive scheduling laws, and writes the shift swap policy and the message that tells staff about changes.
You give it
- Opening hours and expected demand
- Number of staff and shift lengths
- Local scheduling rules (optional)
- Current rota or complaints (optional)
You get
- A shift pattern that fits your demand
- A weekly or monthly schedule
- A fair rotation for nights and weekends
- A shift swap and open-shift policy
- A staff notice about schedule changes
Use it when
- You run a team with nights or weekends and people say the rota is unfair.
- You need to know how many people to hire for a given opening time.
- Staff keep asking to swap shifts and you have no clear policy.
- You must tell employees about a schedule change and want clear wording.
