What it does
A slow page, API or database call, fixed and proven faster with numbers. You describe what feels slow, and the skill measures first, so it never guesses. It times the real operation, finds the slowest part with the right tool for the setting (browser performance tab, Node profiler or EXPLAIN on a query), and fixes that part first. Common fixes include replacing N+1 queries with one join, adding a missing index, caching repeated work and trimming what a page loads. After each change it measures again and reports the before and after times. If a change does not help, it is not kept.
You give it
- A description of what feels slow
- The code or query involved
- How slow it is now, if you know (optional)
- Access to run the code (optional)
You get
- The bottleneck, named
- A fix aimed at the slowest part
- Before and after timings
- A short note on what changed and why
Use it when
- Your page takes seconds to load and users complain.
- An API call is slow and you do not know why.
- A database query that used to be fast now drags.
- You need proof that your fix made a real difference.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can run code and read your project files.
