What it does
When you cannot fill every order, a plan for who gets stock first. It makes the allocation fair, fast and easy to defend. Give it your stock on hand, incoming supply and open orders with priorities. The skill works out available-to-promise, meaning what you can safely commit by date, then allocates supply by priority rules. For harder cases it uses an optimisation model that trades off customer importance, shortfalls and cost. It ends with a shortage report listing what stays unfilled and why. Python code is included for the calculations.
