What it does

A quick first look at a name you plan to use, so you spot obvious problems before you pay for a full search. The result is a flag list, never a clearance. It will not tell you a name is safe, and it says so. You describe the name, the goods or services, and the countries. It checks if the name is too generic, descriptive, misleading, a place name, a surname or a functional term. It then searches for similar marks through any connected legal database and walks through the confusion factors used in your region, flagging each one. It ends with next steps and a note to take the result to a trademark lawyer.

How to use it

  1. Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
  2. Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
  3. It works best when your AI can search trademark registers.
  4. Where the skill points to /ip-legal:cold-start-interview, use the setup-interview folder inside it. We copied it in so the skill works on its own.
