Vibe-coded app cleaner
Point it at a fast-built app. Get dead code and broken imports removed without breaking routes or APIs.
Vibe-coded app cleaner is a free AI skill for the job "Test and fix code". Give the instructions to an AI assistant that supports the required files and tools, then review its output.

What it does
An app built fast with AI, tidied up without breaking it. Dead imports, unused files and broken references are removed, while your routes, APIs, login and database stay exactly as they were. The skill works like surgery, not demolition. It starts by mapping the app: listing every page and route, running the type checker for broken imports, and checking for unused exports and leftover debug logs. It removes only what is proven dead, in small steps. After each batch it checks again. It does not rename routes that may be indexed, change API shapes, or touch the database or auth flow. Duplicate logic moves to shared helpers. js, React and Node apps.
You give it
- The app code
- How to run it and its tests
- Routes or files that must not change
- The stack you used, such as Next.js (optional)
You get
- A map of pages and routes
- A list of safe removals
- Small, reversible changes
- A check after each batch
Use it when
- Your prototype works but the code is a mess and you want to hand it off.
- The type checker shows broken imports you do not understand.
- You are about to launch and want a safe baseline.
- You are afraid a cleanup will break pages that already work.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can run code and edit your project files.
