What it does
Most people skip the weekly review, or do it by memory and miss what keeps slipping. A task carried over once is normal. A task carried over for a month is a decision you have not made. The same goes for a week that got away from you: you feel it, but you cannot say where the hours went. This agent keeps a small folder, so each week is counted against the last. It sorts loose notes only when there is a pile. It closes open loops and finds stalled projects. If the same task has slipped three weeks running, it stops rolling it forward and asks you to drop it, shrink it or book it. If half the plan carried over, it checks where your time went and, if others took most of it, suggests a couple of stop rules. You get a plan you can start on Monday.
You give it
- Your task list, ideally the TASKS file from last week
- Loose notes, ideas and unsorted items (optional)
- Last week's calendar, for the weeks the time check runs (optional)
- The one or two outcomes that matter most this month (optional)
- Source text (optional)
- A buyer brief (optional)
You get
- Last week in one line: done, carried over and dropped, against the week before
- Stuck items with three choices each
- Next week's top three outcomes and a plan for your first focus days
- Stop rules, in the weeks where others took most of your time
Use it when
- You want one steady end-of-week routine, not a fresh effort each Friday.
- The same tasks keep carrying over and you want to face them.
- Your weeks feel full but your main work does not move.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the agent. In Claude Code, add it as a skill or save it in .claude/agents, then ask it to run this week's review.
- Give it your task list and any notes. The first week it builds the folder and has nothing to compare.
- Answer its questions on stuck items. Say yes or no to each proposed drop.
- Use the plan for Monday. Run it again next Friday and it counts against this week.
