What it does
Running out of stock costs sales. Ordering too much ties up cash you need for the next order. Most owners check one or the other, by eye, when something looks low. The two are linked: the order you need most can be the one you can't pay for. This agent looks at both once a week. It keeps your forecast and your supplier facts, and tests the forecast against the last four weeks. For each product it works out days of cover and decides: reorder now, watch, slow or fine. It adds the cash for each order to your 13-week view. If cash falls short, it tries better payment terms first, then asks whether cash or ads limit your growth. It never places an order or pays anyone. You get a list to approve.
You give it
- Units on hand, units sold per week and stock already on order, by product
- Supplier lead time, unit cost, minimum order and payment terms, the first time
- Cash in the bank and bills due in the next 13 weeks
- What changed this week, such as a sale or a late shipment (optional)
- Your results (optional)
- Your question (optional)
You get
- A reorder list with units, order-by dates and cost, most urgent first
- The lowest cash point with and without the new orders
- Payment terms to ask for if cash falls short
- Slow products and the cash a markdown would free
Use it when
- You hold stock and reorder every few weeks or months.
- You've run out of a best seller, or been stuck with stock that doesn't sell.
- Your orders are big enough that cash decides what you can buy.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the agent. In Claude Code, add it as a skill or save it in .claude/agents, then ask it to run this week's check.
- The first time, give it your supplier facts and at least 8 weeks of sales. It saves a forecast and your supplier file.
- Each Monday, add the new stock counts and sales to the same folder.
- Read the list. Place the orders you agree with yourself, and tell the agent what you placed so it can track them.
- Take any loan or credit question to your lender or accountant.
