What it does
Group a day of orders so pickers pick them together and walk less, with the expected distance saved. Fewer trips mean faster orders and lower labour cost. The skill first learns your picking method, order shapes, layout, cart size and current picks per hour. It then compares ways to group: single orders, batches, zones and cart clusters. It builds batches from items that overlap, respecting priority, cart limits and sort time after picking. You get the batches, the distance and time saved, and the trade-off against sorting errors. It suits any warehouse that picks by hand.
You give it
- A list of the day's orders with items
- Warehouse layout and pick locations
- Cart capacity
- Priorities and cut-off times (optional)
You get
- Orders grouped into batches
- Estimated walking distance saved
- Sort steps after picking
- Risks such as mispicks flagged
Use it when
- Pickers cross the same aisles for many small orders.
- Your daily orders have lots of repeated items.
- You have urgent orders that cannot wait for a batch.
- You want to test a cart size before buying.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can run code (Python).
