What it does
A plan for what your AI agent remembers, where each memory is kept, and how it gets back into the conversation. Without memory, an agent forgets everything when the session ends. The skill lays memory out in layers. Working memory is the live conversation. Short-term memory lasts across a session. Long-term memory lasts for good. Then it matches your needs to a storage type. A plain vector store suits simple lookups. A knowledge graph keeps how things relate, such as which customer owns which order. A time-aware graph also tracks when facts were true. You get a pick based on your queries, limits and accuracy needs.
You give it
- What the agent has to remember
- How the agent is used
- Storage tools you already have (optional)
- How accurate recall needs to be (optional)
You get
- A layered memory design
- A storage choice with reasons
- Rules for what to save and what to drop
- A plan for retrieving memory into context
Use it when
- Your agent forgets customers and decisions between sessions.
- You need the agent to keep names and facts consistent across many chats.
- You are choosing between a vector store and a knowledge graph.
- Facts change over time and the agent must know which version is current.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
