AI Blocks › Plan your strategy
Big project mapper
Give it a project too big for one session. Get a map of decisions, resolved one at a time.
Big project mapper is a free AI skill for the job "Plan your strategy". Give the instructions to an AI assistant that supports the required files and tools, then review its output.

What it does
Some projects are too big to hold in one chat. This skill turns a loose, foggy idea into a shared map of open questions, then settles them one at a time until the route is clear. You end up with a list of decisions made, not a pile of half-done work. It starts by naming the destination, such as a spec, a locked choice or a change made in place. Then it posts each open question as a ticket on your issue tracker. It works one ticket per session, records the answer on the map, and refers to every ticket by its title so you can follow along. It plans first and builds later.
You give it
- A rough description of the big idea
- The destination you want to reach
- Access to your issue tracker
- Notes on anything already decided (optional)
You get
- A shared map of decision tickets
- One resolved decision per working session
- A running list of decisions so far
- A clear hand-off point when the route is clear
Use it when
- You have a large idea and no clear first step.
- A project is too big to fit in one AI session.
- Your team keeps arguing about choices that should have been settled before work began.
- You need a spec or a locked decision before any building starts.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can reach your issue tracker.
