What it does
Feedback goes wrong in two ways. You ask critics too early, and a fragile idea dies. Or you ask friends too late, and the holes stay hidden. Either way, you rarely decide beforehand what you will change. This skill starts with the stage of the work. It sorts your people into a support circle and a challenge circle, and checks each one for relevant knowledge and a field that is predictable enough for experience to help. It writes separate questions for each group, adds a flaw of your own to open with, and sets what you will change for each answer.
You give it
- Your draft or plan, and its stage
- People you could ask, with what each knows
- What you suspect is weak (optional)
- A draft (optional)
You get
- An early or finished call
- Two lists of people with a source check
- Questions for each circle and a change plan
Use it when
- You finished a draft and do not know who to show.
- You have only asked people who agree with you.
- You got feedback and did not use it.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Paste your draft and say how far along it is.
- List five to ten people with a line on what each knows.
- Send the questions with your own flaw first.
- Decide your response before the answers arrive.
