What it does
A readable changelog built straight from your git history, so you can see what changed this week without reading every commit. Point it at a repo and it groups changes by day for the last week, then by week. Each commit is sorted into a type: feature, fix, refactor, docs, config, dependency or breaking change. Related commits are merged into one clear line, written in your project's own terms and aimed at users. Breaking changes get a prominent note with migration advice. Each claim links back to its commit so you can check it. You need access to the repository's history.
You give it
- A git repository
- The time range to cover (optional)
- A README for project terms (optional)
You get
- A changelog grouped by day and week
- Changes sorted by type
- Breaking changes with migration notes
- Links from each line to its commit
Use it when
- A teammate asks what changed since last week.
- You return to a project after a break and need to catch up.
- You want a user-facing summary of recent development.
- You need breaking changes called out before an upgrade.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can run code and read your project files.
