What it does
A look at how a software company's valuation multiple changed from round to round, and why. You see if the drop or rise came from the market, slower growth, a new story or the competition. It searches for each funding round: date, amount, valuation and lead investor, then for revenue at that time. It computes the valuation as a multiple of annual recurring revenue and sets it against typical private software multiples for the same date. It then splits the change into causes: interest rates and selloffs, growth slowing, shifts in story such as an AI premium, rivals and investor demand. The result is a chart and a short written explanation.
