What it does
A short tour plan for your product that teaches new users at the moment they need help, instead of burying them in pop-ups. It also tells you plainly when a tour is the wrong tool and a help page would do. The skill starts with a decision: does your product have buried features, an audience that wants guidance, and a team that can keep tours current? If so, it designs the triggers (when a tip shows), where each hint sits, and how to stay quiet when the user is fine. It sets how you track completion and adoption, so you can tell if a tour worked or only got clicked. It stays separate from first-run wizards and chat help.
You give it
- A description of your product
- The features new users must learn
- Your current tour or help setup (optional)
- Your main success measure
You get
- A go or no-go call on building a tour
- Trigger rules for each tip
- Placement and wording guidance
- Completion and adoption tracking plan
Use it when
- Users miss a key feature that is hidden in a menu.
- Your current tour gets clicks but no change in feature use.
- You need a plan for tips that appear only when someone struggles.
- You are unsure if you need a tour or better help docs.
- You want a way to measure whether tips lead to adoption.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
