What it does
Invented worlds fall apart when details are chosen one at a time. A desert people with a taste for fish, a village with stone houses and no stone, a law that nobody could enforce. Readers feel it, even when they cannot say why. This skill starts from the place and lets everything follow. It works out climate, land, rock, wood and water, then what people eat, build with and trade. It details one home, with floor plan, roof and where animals are kept. It decides how this society settles quarrels and who pays when that fails, and adds one custom that an outsider would find strange, with its reason inside the society. It looks for the balance the society depends on, checks every detail against every other, and asks who this way of living frees and who it costs.
