What it does
Most customer pictures describe the buyer: age, income, role. Those details rarely explain why someone chose one thing over another. A moment does. Where they were, what had just gone wrong, what they tried and what they could not stand. This skill writes that moment as a job spec. It keeps the practical side, the social side and the emotional side apart, because the social and emotional ones often decide the choice. It ties each part to a note, marks gaps instead of guessing, and runs two tests: is this really a job, and is there a real struggle? If not, it stops and says so.
You give it
- A ranked list of leads, from the Job hunting spot finder or your own
- Notes and customer words from watching or talking to people
- Your current product (optional)
- Customer words (optional)
You get
- One circumstance and a one-line job
- The practical, social and emotional sides, each tied to a note
- The struggle, the workaround and what it costs
- The trade-offs people will and will not make
- The result of the job test and a note on who this job is not for
Use it when
- You have notes from watching or talking to customers and a vague sense of why they buy.
- Your customer description is a list of ages, incomes and titles.
- You are about to design or sell something and cannot say what it is hired to do.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Paste the leads and your notes as they are.
- Say which lead you want written first.
- Read the one-line job to a customer if you can. Ask if it sounds like them.
- Carry the spec to "Job rival mapper".
