What it does
When a launch runs late, the usual fix is to move the date or add money. Both hurt: a later date costs trust and momentum, and more money may not exist. The one thing that can move without harm is scope, because the first customers need a working core, not every idea. This skill treats the date and budget as fixed. It lists every item in the plan, names the heart of the product in one sentence, and cuts the list in half, then in half again, until only the core is left. It ranks what remains by what a first customer needs and draws the line where time runs out. Cut ideas go to a later list, not the bin. It then checks that nothing the launch promises needs a cut item.
You give it
- Your launch plan or list of features and tasks
- The launch date and the budget, in plain numbers
- The people or hours you have (optional)
- What you have promised customers or partners (optional)
You get
- The date and budget locked, with scope as the only thing that moves
- The heart of the product in one sentence
- A cut list in rounds, down to the core, ranked by first-customer need
- A parked list for later, and what the smaller launch still promises
Use it when
- A launch is slipping and the date matters more than the extras.
- Your plan has fifty items and your team has time for twenty.
- You must ship something real, not something late and perfect.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Paste the full plan, the date and the budget. Include everything, even the nice-to-haves.
- List anything you have promised to people outside the team.
- Read the core sentence and fix it if it is not what you are making.
- Take the smaller list to your team and ask who sees a promise at risk.
