What it does
Every request sounds small. But each feature you add brings screens, help text, a tour, marketing copy, new terms, pricing questions and a promise you now have to keep. A product that says yes to everyone turns into a product nobody can explain. This skill starts with not now for every request. It counts only the requests that repeat from different people over time, and drops one loud voice. For each repeat it lists the full cost of saying yes. It tests the request against your product's stated vision and says which side it takes. Then it rules yes, later or no with one reason, and drafts a short reply that reminds the customer why they chose a focused product, with no promised date.
You give it
- The request list, with who asked and when
- Your product's vision or stated purpose in a sentence or two
- Your current plan or roadmap
- Customer comments or support emails (optional)
- Customer words (optional)
You get
- A repeat count per request, from different people, over time
- The hidden costs of each request that repeats
- A yes, later or no with one reason, and the vision conflict named
- A short reply for each customer that promises no date
Use it when
- Your request list is long and each item has a champion.
- A big customer is pushing for something that would change what the product is.
- You need a reply that says no without losing the customer.
