What it does
A new idea is ugly at first, and the people most likely to kill it are often doing their jobs well. They have schedules, targets and standards. Established work needs no defender, because the system already leans its way. This skill writes the defence plan for a new idea. It separates people who look for what is good from people who look for flaws. It limits the questions to what can be judged early, funds the idea from a shared source so no budget holder resents it, and does not hide the work, since hidden work drifts. It ends with a date and a test for taking the shield off.
You give it
- The verdict from "Early or broken checker", and the pressure map if you have it
- The idea in a few lines (optional)
- Your question (optional)
You get
- Who sees the idea now, who does not, and the reason for each
- The only questions allowed at this stage, and the line to say to anyone who asks more
- Time and money from a named payer, with a review date
- A line for each pressure group
- The hand-off date, test and first group to meet the idea
Use it when
- A promising idea looks rough and someone wants to judge it as finished.
- Deadlines or sales targets are pulling a new project off course.
- You need to protect a new program, product or format for a fixed time.
How to use it

- Paste the verdict and the pressures. Add a few lines on the idea.
- Share the plan with the protectors first, then with the pressure groups.
