What it does
Design that tries to say everything says nothing. A poster with six ideas gets a glance and no memory. The hard part is deciding what one idea to carry, and that decision usually gets skipped. This skill works backward from the feeling. It writes the core in one line, names the feeling a stranger should have, lists symbols that could stand for it and picks one. It then sets limits (shapes, colours, moves), twists the symbol so it looks fresh, and lists what you are leaving out on purpose. You get a plan you can hand to a designer or an image tool.
You give it
- What the piece is about, in a few sentences
- Where and how long people will see it
- Fixed items such as colours, logo or required words (optional)
You get
- The core in one line and the feeling it should set
- One chosen symbol, with the options you did not use
- Limits for shapes, colour and motion
- A list of what to leave out and why
Use it when
- You are about to brief a poster, cover, logo or event graphic and have too many ideas.
- You need the first ten seconds of a video or talk to set one mood.
- Your design feels busy and you cannot say what to cut.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Paste what the piece is about, where it will be seen and any fixed items.
- Read the core line first. If it is wrong, say so and rerun before looking at the symbol.
- Pick the symbol, then pass the plan to your designer or to an image prompt writer.
