What it does
A clear plan for how your company or team should be organised, with a check on how many people each manager leads and a chart of who decides what. You give your goals and current team. The skill compares structure options such as functional, divisional and matrix, and recommends one for your size. A spans and layers check finds managers with too many or too few reports and levels that add little. A RACI chart shows who does the work, who is accountable, who is consulted and who is told. It can also set decision rights, a shared services model, job levels and a change plan. Review people decisions with HR and legal.
