What it does
A diagnosis of where a task or handout asks too much of learners at once, with specific changes that lighten it without dumbing it down. Paste the task, instructions or resource and say who it is for. The skill looks at three kinds of load. The first is how complex the content itself is, based on how many ideas must be held together. The second is difficulty added by poor design, such as split attention, clutter or unclear steps. The third is useful effort that builds understanding. It marks where each is too high for that learner's level and suggests edits, since what helps beginners can slow experts. Based on cognitive load theory.
