What it does
A written procedure your team can follow without asking the person who knows it. It covers why the process exists, what is in and out of scope, who does each step, and what to do when things go wrong. You describe the process, paste old notes, or just give its name. Claude asks questions to fill the gaps, then builds a RACI table (who does it, who owns it, who to ask, who to tell), a flow of the steps, and a detailed entry for each step with its trigger, method and output. It ends with an exceptions table and the numbers used to check the process works.
You give it
- Process name or a short description
- Existing notes or documents (optional)
- Names of the people or teams involved (optional)
- Known exceptions or problem cases (optional)
You get
- A step-by-step written procedure
- A RACI table
- A process flow
- An exceptions and edge cases table
- Metrics to track the process
Use it when
- A process lives in one person's head and you need it written down before they leave.
- You are handing work to a new hire and need clear steps and owners.
- An audit asks for a documented procedure.
- People argue about who owns a step and you need a RACI.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
Workflows that use it
- Check a new automation before relying on it
- Make a recurring process easier to hand over
- Set up a documentation system and write procedures that pass
- Turn an incident into a safer procedure
- Write a procedure, test it and build a training deck
