What it does
A voice and tone guide anyone can use, from a new writer to an AI assistant. It tells people how your brand sounds and how that shifts from a sales page to an apology email. You describe the brand, the audience, and a handful of writing samples and brands you admire. The skill builds a few voice traits, each with what it means and what it does not. It then maps tone to situations such as support, sales or bad news. You also get words to use and avoid, and pairs of off-voice and on-voice examples. It can also check existing copy against the guide and point out where it drifts.
You give it
- A short description of the brand and audience
- Five to ten samples of your writing (optional)
- Brands whose voice you like
- Any traits you already want
- Brand brain (optional)
- A draft (optional)
You get
- Three to five voice traits with clear limits
- A tone guide by situation
- Words and phrases to use and avoid
- Side-by-side before and after examples
Use it when
- Your copy sounds different on every page and channel.
- You are handing writing to a freelancer or an AI tool and need rules.
- Your brand has changed and the old voice no longer fits.
- Your writing feels off but you cannot say why.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
