What it does

Most people can point at a design they like and cannot say why. Copying it by eye gets the surface and misses the rules, and the colours you guess often fail on a real screen. The first step reads your references and writes the look as a profile: measured colours, type, spacing, mood and effects, with a note where the references disagree. The second step takes that profile and your content. It sets margins, a grid, one or two typefaces, sizes and white space, page by page. The third checks every text and background colour in the result for reading. It finds the closest passing colour for any that fail.

Steps

  1. Design style analyst: Share screenshots or links of designs you like. Get their colors, type, feel and effects as a profile you can reuse.
  2. Website typography and layout planner: Paste your content and page type. Get a grid, a short type list and a white-space plan.
  3. Colour contrast checker: Give it your colour tokens. Get light and dark theme pairs checked for readability, with the closest passing colours.

How to use it

  1. Download the handoff pack. It's a zip with HANDOFF.md and every skill file this workflow uses.
  2. Give the folder to Claude (in Claude Code, or as files in a Claude Project) and say "Follow HANDOFF.md".
  3. Attach your reference images, or paste the links.
  4. Paste your page content and say where it is read.
  5. Review the style profile before it goes into the layout.
