What it does
A quiet deal usually does not mean no. The buyer is often afraid to choose, or keeps researching because there is always more to learn. Sending another demo or a deadline makes it worse. They feel pushed and go quiet again. The steps start by reading your notes for the sign and cause of the stall, then write what you would choose in their place and the safety nets that remove each fear. Next they turn that into four to seven short questions, each with an honest yes, that end at the decision. Last they write short true lines for the moments the buyer pushes back or says you are wrong. Nothing in it adds a fake deadline or an expiring discount.
You give it
- Your notes on the deal, what was said, asked for and left unanswered
- What you offered and at what price (optional but helpful)
- What you want the buyer to decide, and by when it is real
- Doubts or objections the buyer has said out loud (optional)
- Your offer (optional)
- Objection map (optional)
You get
- The cause of the stall, how deep it runs and whether to count the deal in a forecast
- A personal recommendation, a stop to extra exploring and a safety net for each fear
- Four to seven short questions, each with an honest yes, ending at your ask
- Short, true lines for each moment the talk could turn
Use it when
- A buyer keeps asking for more information, another demo or more time.
- A deal went quiet after a good meeting and you do not know why.
- You want to follow up without pushing or inventing urgency.
Steps
- Stalled deal indecision checker: Paste notes on a quiet deal. Get whether the buyer doubts you or fears a mistake, a firm recommendation and safety nets.
- Sales agreement question planner: Paste your request and plan. Get four to seven questions in order, each with an honest yes, ending at your ask.
- Disagreement response writer: Paste the point you expect them to dispute. Get short lines for pushback that keep the person while you hold your view.
How to use it
- Download the handoff pack. It's a zip with HANDOFF.md and every skill file this workflow uses.
- Give the folder to Claude (in Claude Code, or as files in a Claude Project) and say "Follow HANDOFF.md".
- Paste the buyer's own words from emails and calls, not your summary of them.
- Say if a deadline is real. If it is not, the steps leave urgency out.
