What it does
Email and SMS often run as two separate plans. The same message goes out twice, texts go to people who never click, and nobody checks what a text costs until the bill arrives. After the sale, the numbers sit in two dashboards and nothing says what to repeat. The steps keep the two channels in one plan. First it decides which moments earn a text and prices the month. Then it places the emails around those texts so they do not repeat each other. It pauses and asks you for a one-paragraph brief: the offer, the deadline and the audience. It writes the sale email, then checks the text copy for length, cost and rules. You send the sale, export the results and pause again. Last it reads email and SMS results together and names what to repeat and what to rework.
You give it
- Your offer, with dates and terms
- Your product facts (optional)
- Past email and SMS results, such as sends, clicks, orders and unsubscribes (optional)
- Your brand file and customer reviews (optional)
- A one-paragraph brief for the sale email, which it asks you for halfway through
- An export of results after the sale, which it asks for at the end
- Customer words (optional)
- Email flow (optional)
You get
- A text plan with dates, send times, audience, exclusions and the cost of the month
- A hold-out test to find out how often your list wants texts
- An email calendar placed around the texts, with the mix of email types checked
- The sale email, with subject options, a plain-text version and two A/B variants
- A text check with character count, billed parts, cost and a readiness score out of 100
- A results review with ranked causes, what to repeat, what to rework and a channel health score out of 100
Use it when
- You have a sale, a drop or a launch coming and want email and text to support each other.
- Your texts cost more each month and you are not sure they pay back.
- You ran a sale last month and cannot tell which channel did the work.
Steps
- SMS send planner: Give it your launches, sales and list size. Get a month of texts and a frequency test.
- Email campaign calendar planner: Give it your launches and sales. Get a month of sends, mix checked.
- Campaign email writer: Give it a campaign goal and product facts. Get email copy by block, with subject lines.
- SMS send checker: Paste a text and send plan. Get its cost, rule flags and a score out of 100.
- Email and SMS performance reader: Paste last month's numbers. Get what broke, what to repeat and a score out of 100.
How to use it
- Download the handoff pack. It's a zip with HANDOFF.md and every skill file this workflow uses.
- Give the folder to Claude (in Claude Code, or as files in a Claude Project) and say "Follow HANDOFF.md".
- Start with your offer, your dates and how people opted in to texts. It will not plan texts without clear consent.
- When it pauses, write the one-paragraph brief for the sale email.
- Send the emails and texts, then export results for the sale window and give them to the last step.
