What it does

A promo email sounds like every other promo email. A story email can sound like a friend, but it often runs long, wanders, and goes out with small mistakes. Then it's hard to tell if it worked, because nobody compared it with the usual sends. The steps handle each part. First it writes three drafts from your true story, each with one idea and one call to action. Then it checks the one you pick: the opening line, the length, the subject and the filler, with a score for how ready it is to send. After you take the cuts, it fixes small errors in your voice. You send it to part of your list and export the numbers. Then it reads them to find what to repeat and what to fix.

Steps

  1. Story email writer: Give it your list and one true story. Get three personal email drafts.
  2. Email draft reviewer: Paste an email. Get cuts, a pacing map, subject fixes, a score out of 100 and a verdict.
  3. Email mistake fixer: Paste an email. Get small errors fixed in your own voice, and tracking bits removed from links if you ask.
  4. Email and SMS performance reader: Paste last month's numbers. Get what broke, what to repeat and a score out of 100.

How to use it

  1. Download the handoff pack. It's a zip with HANDOFF.md and every skill file this workflow uses.
  2. Give the folder to Claude (in Claude Code, or as files in a Claude Project) and say "Follow HANDOFF.md".
  3. Tell it the story as you would to a friend. Don't polish it first.
  4. Pick one draft, take the cuts, then send it to part of your list next to your usual emails. Export the numbers after a few days.
