What it does
When someone types your store's name into Google, you want your ad, your sitelinks and your products at the top of the page, before a rival gets the click. A branded campaign does that for a few dollars a day, and the conversion data it gathers is cheap. This skill builds two campaigns. Branded Search uses exact-match keywords, a pinned brand headline and a trust and offer headline. Branded Shopping uses Standard Shopping with the setup and exclusions that keep it to brand terms and away from your existing customers. Where the sources differ, such as on bidding and daily budget, you get both views and the conditions for each. Most of this revenue would have come anyway, so the skill also tells you how to report it apart from acquisition.
You give it
- Your brand name, common misspellings and site address
- Your current offer or discount code, if you run one (optional)
- Your logo and brand colours (optional)
- A customer list exported from your store (optional, for the exclusion)
- Whether Merchant Center is connected and your products are approved
- Your offer (optional)
You get
- A campaign settings sheet for Search and for Shopping
- An exact-match keyword list
- Ad headlines and descriptions with the pinned brand headline
- Monthly check rules and the product group plan for the Shopping campaign
Use it when
- Your brand name is searched and a rival or a reseller shows above you.
- You run Performance Max or Shopping and want brand clicks in their own campaign.
- You are new to Google Ads and want cheap early sales data to feed the algorithm.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Give your brand name, every misspelling, your site address and any live offer.
- Say if brand searches are low, since a brand nobody searches gets almost no volume.
- Build the Search campaign first, then the Shopping campaign once your feed is clean.
- Check impression share and search terms monthly with the rules it gives you.
