What it does
Code is written in the order the computer needs it. A person needs a different order. They need the big idea first, then the small ideas it rests on, each one with the reason it is there. Comments on single lines rarely do that, so the next person has to guess. This skill reads your code and lists the ideas in the order a newcomer should meet them. It writes each as a short passage to a human reader and places the matching code inside it. It names every piece, explains what happens when a user makes a mistake, and marks which claims are proved and which are only tested. It reads the result aloud to an imagined newcomer and fixes each place they would stop.
You give it
- The code, script or formula set, pasted in full
- Who will read the walkthrough, and what they already know (optional)
- What the code is for, and any parts you are unsure about (optional)
You get
- A walkthrough in reading order, with each code piece beside the reason it exists
- Named pieces so the text can point to them
- A section on what happens when users make mistakes
- A note on which claims are proved and which are only tested
Use it when
- You wrote something that works and nobody else can follow it.
- A new hire or a client has to maintain your script, sheet formulas or automation.
- You want a handover document that stays true to the code.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Paste your code in full. Say who will read the walkthrough.
- Tell it which parts you are not sure about, so they are marked and not guessed.
- Read the walkthrough as a newcomer. Note each place you got lost and send those back.
- Run the code again against the walkthrough to see that nothing in the text disagrees with it.
