What it does
A good script in the wrong mouth falls flat. A fast talker given long pauses sounds lost. A quiet expert given a jokey opening looks uneasy. Most people write the piece first and then ask the deliverer to cope. This skill goes the other way round. It starts from the person: how they pace, which words they stumble on, how they handle emotion, how long they can hold the room. It builds a table of strengths and strains, then decides where each part of the piece goes. The moment people will remember goes where the deliverer is strongest. The hard parts are kept plain. Lines the person cannot carry are swapped, not left for rehearsal to fix. If you are the deliverer, it asks you three questions and does the same for you.
You give it
- The brief or a short description of the piece
- Who will deliver it and how: stage, video, phone call, page, song
- What you know about them: a recording, how they speak, what they do well, what trips them (optional but best)
- The draft, if there is one (optional)
You get
- A strengths and strains table for the deliverer
- Where the showpiece goes and why
- Which parts to keep plain, and lines to swap with the replacement
- A rehearsal check to run, with what to mark
Use it when
- Someone other than you will present, read or perform what you are writing.
- You are writing your own talk and want it to sound like you, not like a template.
- A script keeps feeling stiff when the real person delivers it.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Paste the brief and say who delivers the piece. If you have a recording or a transcript of them speaking, paste it.
- If you are the deliverer, answer its three questions about how you talk.
- Use the plan when you write or edit the draft, then run the rehearsal check with the real person.
