What it does
Plans fail in common ways before they meet the market. The task is too big for the team. The leader and the people below disagree. Someone angry acts alone. Orders are unclear. Nobody knows how strong the other side is. And teams often check only that they are ready, not whether the other side is open or whether the ground allows the move. This skill runs the plan through six faults and three halfway checks from an old book on strategy. Each fault is marked present or absent with a reason from your plan. The three halfway checks cover your readiness, the opponent's openness and the ground. It ends with one verdict, go, wait or no, never a maybe, plus the fix list for each fault found.
You give it
- Your plan: what you will do, when, with what team and money
- A rival comparison or audit report (from Rival matchup scorer or your own)
- Who is in charge and how decisions and orders are given (optional)
- Any doubts people on the team have voiced (optional)
You get
- Each of six faults marked present or absent, with a reason from your plan
- Three halfway checks answered
- A verdict of go, wait or no, with what would change it
- A fix list for each fault found
Use it when
- You have a launch date and want a hard check before you commit money.
- A plan has been approved by the team and you want an outside test of it.
- You have just run a rival comparison and need to turn it into a decision.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Paste the plan and the rival comparison. Add who decides and how orders are passed on.
- Say honestly if anger, pride or a wish to get even is part of why you want to move.
- Read the verdict, then the fix list. Fix the faults before you act.
- Run it again once the fixes are made.
Workflows that use it
- Size up a rival and decide whether to go
- Turn one working shop into a system others can copy
- Size up an industry before you enter it
- Spec a feature and make a legal-checked launch call
