What it does
Growth talks go in circles because everyone points at a different number. Marketing wants more traffic, the product team wants better features, and finance wants lower costs. Usually only one of those matters for how your business really grows. This skill decides which of three engines drives you: customers who stay, customers who bring others, or customers you pay to win. Each has its own sum. If you add 30 customers per 100 each month and lose 28, you grow 2 percent, not 30. It does that sum with your figures, names the one rate to watch, drops the rest and tells you how to spot the engine running out.
