What it does
A brisk order gets the job done once and costs you the goodwill. The person obeys, resents it and does only what was asked. Orders also hide the reason, so people cannot use their own judgement to help. This skill finds every order and blame line in your draft and rewrites each in a way that invites the person in. Where it fits, the line becomes a question that asks for their way of doing it. Otherwise it becomes a request with the reason and the gain for them. It adds a good name you can truthfully give them and shrinks the job to a first step. Where it is real, it leaves them a choice or a role. The message still says exactly what you need and by when.
You give it
- The draft, with every order in it
- Notes on the person from "Behaviour and fix notes writer" (optional)
- What you need done and by when
- What they care about (optional)
- Your notes (optional)
You get
- The rewritten message, with a question or request in place of each order
- A list of what changed in each line and why
- The gain for them that each line uses, and where it came from
- A check that the ask is still clear
Use it when
- You are about to send a message that is mostly instructions.
- A team keeps doing the bare minimum when you tell them what to do.
- You need someone to do a chore they dislike.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Paste your draft as it is, orders and all.
- Add what the person cares about and anything true you can say about their work.
- Read the new version aloud. Change any line that is a hidden order.
- Send it or say it, and keep the changed lines for next time.
