What it does
A prepaid plan lets a buyer pay for 3, 6 or more orders at once, for a deeper discount. Profit per order falls, so many owners say no. What they miss is that the buyer is now locked in for several orders, and many come back for more. Orders per customer go up, and LTV (lifetime value, the profit one customer earns over time) can rise a lot. This skill compares three groups on your numbers: one-time buyers, the 3-order plan and the 6-order plan. For each it works out profit per order, orders in a year and LTV. It finds how many orders a plan needs to break even, weights the result by the share of buyers you could move, and checks if the cash you collect up front covers the stock. The retention figures in the source come from one software maker's customers, so the skill treats them…
You give it
- Price with no discount, product cost and fulfilment cost per order
- The discount you plan for each plan, such as 25 percent for 3 orders
- How often one-time buyers order again over 12 months, from a cohort table
- What share of buyers you could move to each plan
- Your re-enrol rate for plans, if you have run any (optional)
- Your results (optional)
You get
- Profit per order, orders in a year and LTV for each group
- The orders a plan needs to break even
- Average LTV for your mix, and the cash effect up front
- A score out of 100 for plan fit and a first test to run
Use it when
- You sell coffee, supplements, pet food or something else buyers reuse, and you wonder about a 3-month or 6-month plan.
- Someone says a prepaid discount is too deep and you want to see the whole picture.
- You want customers to fund part of your next stock order.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Paste your price, costs and planned discounts. Attach your cohort table, or say that you have none.
- Say how many buyers you think you could move to each plan.
- Read the break-even and the score. If retention is a test value, run a small test before you commit.
- Ask how the cash collected up front should be booked, from your accountant.
