What it does
A good offer in a bad market loses to a poor offer in a hungry one. The market comes first, then the offer, then how well you pitch. Yet most owners pick a market by what they know, or take whoever answers. This skill picks on four checks. Do they feel real pain, do they have money, can you reach them without hunting, and are there more of them each year or fewer? A zero on pain, money or growth rules a market out. It also says how much your offer has to carry given the market, and asks you to commit to one pick for a set number of tries, since hopping from market to market resets what you have learned.
