What it does
The cheapest quote is often the riskiest one. A low price can hide a big minimum order that drains your cash, a long lead time that misses your launch, or a supplier who will not put refunds in writing. And a product that costs too much cannot sell at the price your market pays. This skill puts the quotes side by side on cash up front, weeks to stock and margin at your retail price. It lists what to agree in writing before any deposit, plans an independent inspection of the first run, and scores each supplier on how safe a deposit is today. The ten safety checks are the skill's own checklist, built from one operations talk. Contracts need a lawyer.
You give it
- Two or more quotes with unit price, minimum order and manufacturing lead time
- Your planned retail price and the cash you can tie up in stock
- Freight and duty per unit, if you know them (optional)
- Your tech pack, and whether the product is unique or a catalogue item (optional)
- Brand brain (optional)
You get
- A side-by-side table of cash up front, weeks to stock, landed unit cost and margin before ads
- A safety score out of 100 for each supplier, with the sum shown
- A list of terms to agree in writing before a deposit
- A first-run inspection plan and a go, renegotiate or walk-away note
Use it when
- You have quotes from two or three factories and need to choose.
- You are about to send a large first deposit.
- A higher quote offers a lower minimum order and you want to know if it frees enough cash.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Paste each quote as the supplier sent it, then your retail price and cash limit.
- Add freight and duty per unit if you have them, so landed cost is complete.
- Settle the listed terms with each supplier before you pay a deposit.
- Ask a lawyer to check any contract before you sign.
