What it does

Most prices start from cost plus a markup or from what a rival charges. They ignore what is left after shipping, packing, payment fees and returns. Then an ad target is set from the wrong margin and a discount takes away what little remained. The store is busy and the product loses money on each sale. The steps start from the true number. First it builds the full cost of delivery, shows the three kinds of margin and finds the break-even ad return. Then it judges what the product is worth to the buyer and sets three prices that could each work, with estimated sales and total profit for each. Last it takes the chosen price and tests a discount against it: the sales jump needed to hold profit, the best depth and whether a bundle or gift beats a percent off. It never pauses, so have your costs ready.

Steps

  1. Product margin checker: Give it a price and every cost. Get true margin, break-even ROAS and CAC, scored out of 100.
  2. Pricing decision planner: Paste your product, costs and the buyer's gain. Get three test prices, your pick and a plan to raise it.
  3. Discount impact checker: Add price, costs and a discount. Get the ROAS to hit and a score out of 100.

How to use it

  1. Download the handoff pack. It's a zip with HANDOFF.md and every skill file this workflow uses.
  2. Give the folder to Claude (in Claude Code, or as files in a Claude Project) and say "Follow HANDOFF.md".
  3. Give it your price and every cost line. Tell it which numbers are guesses.
  4. Read the margin step before the prices. If the margin is low, fix cost before you test price.
  5. Take the numbers to your accountant before you set ad targets from them.
